The posted price of lessons includes all paddling equipment

Price does not include Travel, Food or Camping ,
unless specified.

EWP Membership must be renewed annually and is required for ALL EWP Programs and is therefore INCLUDED in the lessons price.

EWP Members will pay the reduced course rate to account for their membership.

Module 1

Dry Land

- Theory of paddling whitewater, river grading and hazards
- Selecting a Boat, Spray deck, paddle, PFD and Helmet
- Kayaking equipment and safety considerations
- How to get in and out of boats in a safe manner

Sea Kayak Self Rescue

Learn many techniques allowing you to rescue yourself in the case of a capsize at sea or in a large body of water.

The course is one night for 3 hours of intensive instruction.

Bring your own equipment if you have some, it will allow you to familiarize yourself with your own boat's characteristics.

Date: TBA, will be held sometime in May 2012
Time: 8:00pm to 11:00pm
Place: Kinsmen Aquatic Centre

Adult Intro to Kayaking 2011/12

All sessions are held at the Kinsmen Aquatic Centre each Friday night from 9:00pm to 11:00pm.
Learn all the skills that are the stairway to many unique outdoor experiences.
Course covers all basic strokes and bracing with an introduction to rolling and canoe polo.
All equipment is supplied, all you need is swimming attire.
EWP membership is included in your course fee.

How to Roll a Kayak 2011/12

Once a paddler has graduated from an introductory course(pre-requisite), the Eskimo roll is the next fundamental skill which is very useful to learn.
