2010 - Summer / Fall - Rundle Park Paddling Sessions

Now that warm weather is here, EWP moves its operations outside to the Rundle Park Canoe Polo Pond.

EWP members can now come to practice their rolling or paddling skills every Wednesday night from 7:00 to 9:00pm for FREE

These club night sessions are open to any member who has already taken an Intro to Kayaking course and knows the basics of kayaking.

WARNING: These nights are not meant to substitute for an Intro course, we do not accept participants who have never been in a kayak before.

The sessions are loosely organized, such that we spend a bit of time warming up our general paddling skills learned earlier in our Intro Course for about 40 minutes, with the more experienced paddlers helping the less experienced ones in an informal manner. This is usually done right at the put-in near the Rundle Canoeing Centre.

Then we move out to the western end of the canoeing pond and organize and play fun low level polo until about 9 or 9:30pm.

This will run every Wednesday until we run out of water sometime after Thanksgiving.

Come all to have FREE and healthy fun outdoors.

NOTE: All paddling equipment is supplied for free, boat, spraydeck, paddle, PFD and helmet, but you are responsible to bring personal paddling clothes, i.e. rash top, paddling jackets or wet suits.
