The Crunch has been "crunching" through the competition so far, with 3 games played and won handily, 4 to 1, 9 to 0 and 10 to 2.
We seem to have made a lasting impression on the local competitors not only with our playing abilities, but also with our fashionable looks.
One team member told us that when they saw how fashionably attired we were that they figured any team which spends this kind of money on their uniforms, must be a sizeable opponent and his team members sort of resigned themselves to be defeated.
News from DownUnder
Submitted by the_crunch on Fri, 10/09/2009 - 20:24Oct 10, Saturday, we are getting ready for our first couple of games.
The last 3 days were spent getting ourselves organized and visiting Sydney.
We took a tour of the Sydney Harbour and walked around the Opera House and downtown.
The harbour tour was fun, the weather has been very windy and coldish since we arrived on the 7th, and the high winds forced some ferry services to shut down. Our tour boat had to change its itenerary to accomodate to the high waves being created by the winds. The waves in the harbour entrance looked like 20 feet high.

Preview of WMG 2009
Submitted by the_crunch on Fri, 09/25/2009 - 18:35As some of you may know, 4 EWP members are soon to leave for Sydney Australia to participate in the 2009 World Master Games.
The members going are Dale O'Brien, Darryl O'Brien, Carolyn Karasiuk, and Jean Leduc.
The club has generously offered to offer some financial support to our 4 members in their quest for personal excellence.
The World Master Games are held every 4 years, like the Olympics, however the games are participatory in nature and are for individuals competing for themselves rather than for their own Nation.
